Launch Housing Dandenong (Bob’s Place) crisis accommodation site offers short stays, intensive case management, and advocacy services for families, couples and singles. This service manages four family units, nine single units, two rooms for couples and three women only places. Staff support people on site 24 hours a day.
Support workers provide intensive case management to people experiencing long-term homelessness who often have complex needs.
Launch Housing’s Dandenong office also provides transitional housing support to secure or maintain safe accommodation and strengthen links to community supports.
Other initiatives offered at Bob’s Place include a children’s program, private rental assistance and assertive outreach.
The Children’s Program supports children and their parents by providing assessments, enhanced case management, and group work to support children’s emotional, and physical wellbeing. It also helps improve education developmental outcomes for school-aged children.
Rough Sleepers Initiative
Launch Housing’s Rough Sleepers Initiative (RSI) provides an assertive outreach service to people sleeping rough in Frankston and Dandenong. RSI supports individuals who often have complex needs, are vulnerable and the majority have experienced long-term homelessness.
RSI assertive outreach workers provide an assessment and intake into the homelessness system*, case management, assistance with emergency accommodation, and a pathway into crisis accommodation and permanent housing.
The Dandenong and Frankston branch of the RSI works in partnership with Neami.
