Description of Program

The Initial Assessment and Planning (IAP) service provides an assessment, housing information and assistance to individuals and families in a housing crisis.

An IAP assessment is the first step for clients at risk of or experiencing homelessness throughout Victoria.

This program helps people prevent and end homelessness by providing accommodation assistance, advice and referrals to additional support.

IAP services are offered at Launch Housing’s Collingwood, St Kilda, and Cheltenham homelessness entry points, with no appointment necessary. Anyone experiencing homelessness or housing difficulty can drop in for advice and assistance during business hours. All Launch Housing’s homelessness entry points* are open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Launch Housing Collingwood Entry Point- 68 Oxford St, Collingwood

Launch Housing St Kilda Entry Point- 112 Chapel St, St Kilda

Launch Housing Cheltenham Entry Point- 11 Chesterville Rd, Cheltenham

*The Victorian homelessness system is organised into designated homelessness access points. This framework, called Opening Doors, provides a coordinated homelessness service response for people in the community.
