Breakfast and nutrition programs are funded by the Federal Government and Community Care.
Healthcare Response Program
Since 2016, Southbank has provided on-site nursing consultations for people who need clinical care for acute and chronic health issues, and other medical needs. Nursing consultations at Southbank crisis accommodation are provided by qualified community health nurses from Star Health. This integrated healthcare response at Launch Housing Southbank is philanthropically funded by The Shine On Foundation.
Alcohol and other Drugs Program
Launch Housing Southbank is leading the way as the only crisis accommodation service in Victoria to offer an embedded on-site Alcohol and other Drugs (AOD) program exclusively for their clients. The one-of-a-kind AOD program uses a person-centred approach to care. It is completely voluntary, and focuses on prevention and harm reduction.
Peer Support Workers
Peer Support Workers support clients as they build capacity and develop skills in problem solving, community connections, access recreation, and training and employment opportunities. Peer Support Workers have a lived experience of homelessness.
Southbank’s Wellbeing Program provides extensive activities for residents and includes an art group, reflexology, shiatsu, acupuncture, legal service, gardening, knitting and games.
