The State of Homelessness in Australia’s Cities

The State of Homelessness in Australia’s Cities: A Health and Social Cost Too High, was published by the Centre for Social Impact, University of Western Australia.

The report addresses homelessness across Australia’s major cities by analysing Registry Week data of 8618 individuals experiencing homelessness over seven years from specialist homelessness services.

It finds that those sleeping rough have poorer health outcomes, and veterans and Indigenous Australians in particular are at significant risk of experiencing homelessness.
