Launch Housing Facebook Community Standards

The Launch Housing Facebook page is monitored during ordinary business hours, 9am – 5 pm EST, and we will endeavour to respond to messages and questions in a timely manner. We encourage open, lively conversation and welcome your thoughts and ideas.

The Launch Housing Facebook page is not monitored by support workers. If you are experiencing homeless or at risk of losing your housing, please call Opening Doors on 1800 825 955. They are a state wide program which coordinates support to people experiencing homelessness and we take referrals for our accommodation and services from them. Launch Housing supports and uses the Facebook Community Standards, particularly around encouraging respectful behaviour as a basis for the community standards of this page.

In summary this means we will delete comments which includes content that:

• Directly attacks people based on their:
  • race
  • ethnicity
  • national origin
  • religious affiliation
  • sexual orientation
  • sex
  • gender, or gender identity,
  • serious disabilities or diseases.
• Is abusive, profane or defamatory toward an entity, belief or symbol.
• Infringes on people’s privacy (especially on people sleeping rough) – please avoid using names, locations and other personal details
• Is spam or commercial in nature
• Doesn’t meet relevant copyright guidelines

If a user violates these guidelines, we reserve the right to ban them from our page.
