We were thrilled to host our first-ever Children’s Art Exhibition on March 20th.
The exhibition provided a unique opportunity for donors, partners, and Launch Housing staff to come together, fostering a deeper understanding of the impact their support has on families and children experiencing homelessness.
This support has been crucial to the success of our Families & New Beginnings programs. It was an evening filled with heartfelt conversations, inspiring stories, and a celebration of the creativity and resilience of the children we support.
The exhibition celebrated art created by children who have been supported by Launch Housing. Art, in all its forms, is a powerful tool for expression.
The artworks displayed at the exhibition were created by children of varying ages. Some of the pieces were crafted independently by children, while others were created through collaborations between children and their caregivers.
Many of our programs use art to help clients process their experiences and the trauma of homelessness. The Children’s Programs at Launch Housing leverage the power of art to provide an outlet for emotional and creative expression, and to amplify the voices of children in the homelessness service system.
The Children’s Art Exhibition is just one part of a travelling art show that will move across Launch Housing sites throughout 2025.
The goal of this pop-up show is to provide an ongoing opportunity for children experiencing homelessness to connect with each other through their art, offering a sense of shared experience and community during what can often be a lonely and disconnected journey.
