To access Launch Housing crisis accommodation, support services, or to get into emergency accommodation in Melbourne, you must first go to a homelessness access point in your area.

Our homelessness access points at Cheltenham, Collingwood and St Kilda offer you a way out of homelessness.

To get housing advice or to speak to a support worker call 1800 825 955 (24/7 toll-free).

If you phone outside of business hours you’ll be redirected to the Salvation Army St Kilda crisis service.

Private Rental Assistance Program

Launch Housing’s Private Rental Assistance Program (PRAP) provides people at risk of, or experiencing homelessness with financial and practical assistance to establish and maintain private rental tenancies.

If you have been approved for a property and need help with your first month’s rent or if you are behind in your rent and need help with rent arrears you can apply for PRAP assistance.

 

Essential Community Service

We are an essential community service and remain open during Melbourne’s lockdown. If you are at risk of, or experiencing homelessness please call 1800 825 955 to speak to a housing support worker for advice. Anyone who is able to should contact homelessness services via phone rather than attending in person to minimise the risk of transmission.

Still, if you need to go to a homelessness access point our Collingwood and St Kilda offices remain open Monday to Friday and can provide a crisis response to your immediate accommodation needs and connect you to other support services.

Domestic Violence

If you are experiencing domestic violence and are in danger right now call 000. You can also get 24 hour advice and assistance from safe steps Family Violence Response Centre on toll-free 1800 015 188.

If you are experiencing family violence, you can now apply for court protection. Use the Neighbourhood Justice Centre’s new online Family Violence Intervention Order application. It’s easy to use, safe, and password protect. Fill it in where and when it’s safest to do so.
