If you are experiencing domestic violence and require urgent assistance you should call the police on 000. Otherwise you can call or go in person to your local police station to make a report. You can also get 24 hour advice, support and assistance from safe steps Family Violence Response Centre on toll-free 1800 015 188.
If you are experiencing family violence, you can now apply for court protection when and where you need to. Use the Neighbourhood Justice Centre’s new online Family Violence Intervention Order application. Easy to use, safe, and password protected. Fill it in in your own time, where and when it’s safest to do so. You can also get assistance completing an application at your local Magistrates Court. The Registrar is able to speak to you about your application.
