Launch Housing calls for peace in Israel and Gaza

At Launch Housing, we share our community’s distress about the unrelenting violence occurring before our eyes and formally express the following:

1. 1. Launch Housing joins the widespread calls from around the world for an immediate and permanent ceasefire on humanitarian grounds and an end to violence. We see in our work and in the drivers that cause homelessness that violence is never the answer. Violence destroys lives, ends human rights, and creates trauma. As a service committed to human rights and social justice, Launch Housing condemns violence of any kind.

1. 1. Launch Housing will categorically not take sides on a conflict that falls outside our expertise or jurisdiction. Our organisational focus and advocacy remain focused on ending homelessness in Melbourne.

1. Launch Housing does not tolerate in any form anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, or any type of discriminatory, hateful, or offensive language or behaviour as per our Code of Conduct.
